The Iron man 2 line is going to hit all retailers today, and there are some things you need to know before you go out to the stores to get your favorite figures.
First off, there are three sub-lines under the Iron man umbrella: Comic, Movie, and Concept. Each line has differences and will surely get mixed up on the pegs. The entire line is numbered like Marvel Universe. The concept and movie lines are lower numbers, while the comic series starts in the 20’s.
The basic difference between the lines is the look of the figures. The movie and concept lines are based on everything you see in the movie. The concept series takes comic costumes and designs and puts a movie spin on them. They are different than the other two sub-lines in the colors used, making them easier to pick out.

All the lines come with accessories, but the types of accessories are different. The comic line is made with collectors in mind. All the accessories are snap on or plug in, mostly some kind of energy discharge. The concept and movie lines both have snap on firing weapons, and are made for kids who love things that shoot.

Also, with each figure you will get a stand and a set of cards. The cards can fit into the base with the figure and are partially transparent. The set of three cards are the head, arms, legs, and body of the armor they come with. These cards can be mixed and matched to make your own custom armors.

As with most lines it is also very important to check your figures paint aps before you leave the store. I have seen more figures in the last week or so left on the pegs because parts are unpainted or painted the wrong color, so be careful.

So now you know the differences and the things to watch for, so join us all day for looks at the figures you will see on shelves starting today.
