If in any other year Comic Con were as awesome as it was this year, it would be impossible to pick out that one thing that was the best. Unlike other years and other Cons, 2010’s SDCC was the winner by leaps and bounds because of Universal’s Scott Pilgrim. Below is a list of the top five ways Scott Pilgrim rocked Comic Con:

There are few animated movies more controversial for we children of the 80’s than G.I. Joe: The Movie. Much like the Transformers movie released around the same time, G.I. Joe set out to revamp the Real American Hero franchise by phasing out some big-name characters and introducing a new generation of characters into the mythology. In some ways G.I. Joe The Movie was the beginning of the end of Joe’s wave of popularity in the 80’s. The movie introduced a new very sci-fi/ fantasy angle to our Real American Heroes and it didn’t necessarily mesh with the military theme of the toys, comics and cartoons up to this point.

The eighth entry in the ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 Movies is being distributed by Warner Home Video. The film screened to a packed house of 4,250 fans at the recently concluded Comic-Con International in San Diego.
