Under the Red Hood was not the most memorable story in comics. It brought back a character that everyone hated and made him a cheque villain for Batman and his family. Where the comic did not rivet me, the new direct to DVD animated movie had me feeling emotions, something only America Tails brought out in me as a little kid. We have a review inside, before it hits stores next week. Check it out.

Arriving this week in stores is Volume One of the hit cartoon series Super Hero Squad. The genius of the Super Hero Squad show is that it introduces a whole new generation of children to the world of Marvel comics. The characters are slightly deformed caricatures of the actual heroes and villains, but the core of each characters is present.

When it was announced in 2006 that Grant Morrison would be writing Batman, most fans were excited, including me. Morrison made Batman one of DC comics’ most dangerous heroes during his run on JLU in the 90’s. Unfortunately, that Batman was not part of his tenure in the current DC universe.
