Continuing the interesting theme of each new episode being centered on some specific human emotion, “Dark Shadows” explores feelings of jealousy. Even though most of the characters in the show are fairly well-off and happy some of the time, they all have something to be jealous about; someone else’s body, wife, creative talent, recognition, so on and so forth. While not the most exciting or revelatory episode of the season, “Dark Shadows” serves as yet another brilliant character study of some of the most compelling characters around.

Men In Black 3 is one of those Summer movies I keep forgetting about. The long-delayed project has been talked about and scrapped so many times the idea of it actually being released seems like a foreign concept. The fact that it’s finally hitting the big screen got a little more concrete this week, as the Jakks Pacific MIB3 action figures started finding their way to retail. And while I have very little doubt the latest adventure of Agents J and K will be awful, the toys are actually pretty neat, for a number of reasons.

The Avengers movie was not only a great blockbuster, but a smashing success– beating records for the biggest opening weekend of all time, and in no danger of losing steam anytime soon. But Hasbro’s toy line has been suffering, and is under-performing at the worst time imaginable. The toy company can still course-correct, but they need to get to work right away.
