I’m a sucker for a good third-person action game; especially when they bring something new to the table. Developed by Saber Interactive, Inversion was built around a central mechanic which allows the player to manipulate the force of gravity — which seemed like a winning formula seeing as TimeShift (also developed by Saber Interactive) benefitted from smart writing and a well-implemented control over time itself. Imagine my disappointment to find that Inversion not only suffers from generic gameplay and clichéd plot devices, it’s a pretty lousy game to boot.

After last week’s emotional powerhouse of an episode, this week’s Mad Men ended the fifth season on a comparatively low note. Some stories were brought to an abrupt end while others just began, and some of the less prominent characters didn’t even get mentioned. The strongest episode of the season it was not, but “The Phantom” still managed to cover a lot of ground and set the foundation for what should be a great sixth season.

Earlier today, Valiant released a teaser image featuring X-O’s helmet pierced by a bloody katana with the tagline “Enter: Ninjak.” That’s right, in addition to their already strong initial lineup along with the upcoming relaunch of Eternal Warrior and Rai (according to the FCBD preview), Valiant revealed that one of their A-List titles, Ninjak, will be returning this September.
