A Batman Comic Book Did Not Inspire The Aurora Theater Shooting

In light of the tragic shooting at a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, CO– which left over a dozen people dead and three dozen more injured or hospitalized– people are already looking for motives… and unfortunately that likely means the latest round of blaming a comic book for the actions of one mentally unstable person, which is the last thing anyone needs in this time of sadness.

SDCC 2012- Mattypallooza

The energy was high at the Mattypallooza panel this year, with all-new reveals, surprises, and even a new subcription series! There was a lot of chatter going into the event. The Create-a-Character winner was accidentally revealed on the Mattycollector website, deflating an otherwise impressive showing. Also in question was the status of properties like Voltron and Ghostbusters, and the advent of the new property. Scott and co. did their best to keep the energy high, and the panel gave fans a lot to talk about. Continue reading “SDCC 2012- Mattypallooza” »

From the creator of District 9, the future world of Elysium is bleak and in some ways resembles what many think today’s world is moving towards. On the panel, actors Jodi Foster, Matt Damon, and Sharlto Copley were joined by writer/ director Neill Blomkamp.
