Bandai America continues to thrive on their annual installments of Power Rangers and Ben 10. As we say good bye to Thundercats, Pac-Man throws his hat in the animation ring for Disney XD, and Bandai is there to support the first-ever animated series for 3D TVs. Each series is an evolution of the last, but the play aspect that has become Bandai’s signature is ever present in each property offered.
In Skylanders: SWAP Force, the third installment of the wildly popular series,16 characters will feature swappable upper and lower halves, creating a hybrid Skylander that has multiple attributes. This game will grab a hold of your child’s imagination the way it never has before.
WWE had a banner year as the number one boys brand in the United States. At Toy Fair, we saw a great mix of old faithfuls, toy debuts, and awesome throwbacks of wrestling’s golden age, promising another exciting year for collectors young and old.
Matty Collector showed off a few new pieces of their reconstructed DC Unlimited and DC Infinite brands during the Collector’s Night event at Toy Fair, although the showing– and their new strategy– seem quite limiting.
2013 may be the year Matty goes on the decline as they begin to wrap up the Masters of the Universe Classics, but they’re not leaving without some powerful swings, and hats off to Scott and company for a valiant effort.
We’ve seen some great-looking new games at this year’s Toy Fair, but no one could match the sheer volume of Cryptozoic’s output. Showcasing a staggering amount of killer upcoming titles and expansions based on both established licenses and original designs, Cryptozoic is on point to really knock it out of the park in 2013.
