The first trailer for Dredd 3D (the awful name for the new Judge Dredd movie) has hit the web, giving us our first look at the new take on the classic UK comic… and Karl Urban as the Judge. Check it out…
The best movie to hit theaters this weekend is the one you may not have heard of… Safety Not Guaranteed masterfully weaves comedy, sci-fi, and a delightfully offbeat romance into a smart, well-acted story that’s really something special.
As hard as I try not to, I just can’t stop committing the cardinal sin of comparing every new Pixar film to the ones that came before. If you can somehow manage to avoid doing that, you’ll really enjoy Brave; it’s a technical masterpiece, the voice acting is top notch, and it has some of the strongest humor of any Pixar film to date. It feels more Disney than Disney-Pixar, but Brave still has plenty for kids of all ages to enjoy.
The best part of going to see Prometheus this weekend was the trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, and it’s so good it was worth the admission price all on its own. I’m suddenly wondering how I can make it until Christmas before getting to see this movie!
In the last two weeks, Warner Bros has released over a dozen new posters and promo banners for The Dark Knight Rises, and they really run the gamut from bad to awesome. Just for fun, we’re ranking the posters in order from the worst to the best… check it out and let us know if you agree!
Man, 2012 turned out to be a pretty lousy year to be a Joe fan. With Renegades and the 30th Anniversary cut down in their prime to make way for Retaliation– only to have the new movie bring with it some half-boiled new toys (with a few exceptions), and now a 9-month delay on the movie announced last week. I don’t think anybody bought Paramount’s announcement that the movie pushback was just for 3D’s sake, and now there’s lots more buzz floating around what happened.
