NECA’s Borderlands Figures Are Impossibly Cool

NECA has made great use of several gaming licenses including BioShock, Assassin’s Creed, and Gears of War, so it came as no surprise when they announced they would be creating a line of action figures for the Borderlands franchise.  It was also less than shocking, given NECA’s track record, that both pieces from the first series benefit from outstanding sculpts and killer paint work.  Let’s check out their take on two of Pandora’s most familiar faces and go in depth with this excellent addition to NECA’s Player Select line.

I figured I should let you know “officially” that Mattel’s 2013 Subscription services are open for sale, but only until August 6th.  That gives you just about two weeks to decide if you’re in for another year of Masters of the Universe or Club Infinite Earths… or Matty’s new Watchmen series.

SDCC 2012- Mattypallooza

The energy was high at the Mattypallooza panel this year, with all-new reveals, surprises, and even a new subcription series! There was a lot of chatter going into the event. The Create-a-Character winner was accidentally revealed on the Mattycollector website, deflating an otherwise impressive showing. Also in question was the status of properties like Voltron and Ghostbusters, and the advent of the new property. Scott and co. did their best to keep the energy high, and the panel gave fans a lot to talk about. Continue reading “SDCC 2012- Mattypallooza” »
