NECA Brings Coraline Back To Comic-Con

A new display set based on Neil Gaiman’s cult classic will be available at this year’s Comic Con.

NECA’s Coraline toy line was pretty awesome, featuring painstakingly accurate, fully poseable dolls based on Henry Selick’s unique designs from the 2009 film based on the book by Neil Gaiman.  We haven’t seen any Coraline toys in a while, which is why it came as a surprise that NECA revealed an all new set– featuring a fold-out display with LED lights, and our heroine in her yellow PJs– would be part of their SDCC exclusive offerings.

The set looks great, with a slick outer box that unfurls into an appropriately bizarre display base.  And the new Coraline, complete with an all new headsculpt replicating her off center smile as seen in the movie, is a great addition to NECA’s previous figures.

You can see photos and get more details on this set below.  As with most of NECA’s Comic-Con exclusives, the Coraline display set will be available at their booth in San Diego, with a limited amount going for sale for non-attendees starting on June 20th at TheNECAStore.com.

Bring home the weird world of Coraline! From the stop-motion movie adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s best-selling book, this deluxe display set comes with a 7” clothed Coraline bendy doll, and folds out to create a fun and spooky scene. It even features green LED lights to add eerie ambiance! Coraline is dressed in colorful fabric pajamas and has a blanket accessory and a clear stand. The LED lights can be turned on and off via a hidden switch (located in the bottom of the box) and use button cell batteries, included. When open, the display is approximately 9.25” high with a 14” W x 10.75” D footprint. The entire piece folds back into its own box for easy storage or portability. The closed box measures approximately 7.55” W x 2.6” D x 9.25” H.
