PAX East 2014: Square Enix Preps Hitman GO for Release

Developed by Square Enix Montreal, Hitman GO was likely the biggest surprise on the floor at this year’s PAX East.  When a Hitman mobile game was first announced, many were likely a bit apprehensive that the medium simply couldn’t properly capture the nuance of the beloved franchise.  The playable build on the convention floor shattered all expectations however, delivering an elegant, unique take on Hitman that fans can truly appreciate.

PAX East 2013: Hands-On with Dead Island Riptide

Deep Silver’s immersive first-person, cooperative shooter returns the characters to an island setting they thought they had left behind to relive the nightmare all over again.  At this year’s PAX East, housed in Square Enix’s booth space, Dead Island had a nice little display area hosting a twenty-minute long demo, complete with headsets and mics for party communication, that fans queued up for hours to play through.

Having spawned ten games and two motion pictures, Tomb Raider is one of the most recognizable and successful video game franchises of all time.  Over the course of its seventeen-year existence, Lara Croft has zigzagged across the globe, exploring uncharted territory and finding adventure wherever she travelled.  Though the series has aged gracefully, the team at Crystal Dynamics realized that Tomb Raider was in need of a fresh coat of paint and set out to reinvent the franchise from the ground up.
