This is the newest offering from the JLU line, bringing this long living line in closer to completion. Grodd was one of the main bad guys on the JLU show and now we have him to add to the growing roster of villains for the…
Thanks for another round of questions from Toy Guru: Kastor's Korner: We know there are some characters off limits in the JLU line, and some limits due to copyrights. With all the fan polls on Fwoosh, AFI, and my own Demanded Characters column (have you…
Since the reinvention of the action figure in 2000 by Toy Biz, DC fans have been waiting for the DC universe to be made.…
Welcome back to another Kastor’s Review. This time we take a look at the newest exclusive offering from Hasbro Marvel Legends, Jean Grey, the Black Queen. This figure is not hard to review because it has very little in the way of new parts. This…
Captain America may be dead in the comics but he is still kicking in the Marvel Legends line. This new Cap marks the return of the 1 st appearance figures. Joining the ranks of figures like Spider-Man, the Thing, Iron Man, the Hulk, Wolverine, and…
Coming up over the next few days will be the full blow review of HML 3. Come back tomorrow for the faces.
This week come over to Fwoosh to see which of the many verisons of Hawkman you would like as an action figure. This past week on Fwoosh one thing I noticed was the drama that my choices of both characters and costumes in my weekly…
I had the chance to acquire some DC Direct figures this month. Having a 25% off coupon I picked up figures, which I though Mattel would not make right away and are sort of in scale in with the DCSH . First up is Alfred,…
When Toy Biz lost the right to make Marvel toys most of us thought our chances of getting the robot Doombots from the Fantastic Four Movie line was lost. We knew some retailers got them last year but they were few and far between. After…
So this Christmas my sister in-law asked me what system would be good a good Christmas gift for her son, my nephew. At first I said PS2 because I have one and I like it, it also has a very simple controller which is easy…
Have you seen this figure? No? Well that is because Hasbro decided to send out cases of Marvel Legends 3 the Brood Queen Wave with out her tail and this long wanted figure. That is right they short packed a BAF piece. Guess where the…
I struggle a lot on what should be part of this blog. As time goes on and this site evolves I feel that while yes I love to review and show new cool toys, it's also an outlet to explain the mind of a collector.…
Finally something new from the 10 inch line. looks like these guys are hitting Kmarts so keep out an eye, I just need to find Hourman. While these are cool GL needs a new head you can see where they had the hair from the…
Thanks again to Toy Guru for finding time to answer some questions. Kastor: What's Mattel's view on changing certain characters articulation if the character calls for it? Say for example Green Arrow, who needs more articulation to look like he's shooting his bow than normal…
One thing we are seeing as Hasbro takes over this line is the loss of details. This is not the Marvel Legends of the past in so many ways. The line which is on the store shelves now is Marvel Legends in name only. The…
I have been trying all week to get this full review done of this line. One of the hold ups has been Hasbro not getting back to me on some information on, the other is school has been killing me this week. So here is…
Well I don't have a full set yet, but I did pick up one of the figures from the new ML 3 wave at Wal-Mart. I ordered a case on-line and am waiting for it to arrive but I still go around to some stores…
So what is a toy? A toy is an object, often a small representation of something familiar, as an animal or person, for children or others to play with; plaything. A toy is a thing or matter of little or no value or importance; a…
This new figure from DC Direct is one which my cause me to add another line to my collection. While in the past I was impressed with the 13 inch figures this figure is the one which gets me into this line. I think that…
Wow is all I seem to be able to get out right now. I will have a ton more pictures up throughout the weekend.
This week I get my hands on the new 13" Nightwing figure from DC Direct. Come back this weekend for a full review. What I did notice, they rescuplted the head, it looks amazing.
Welcome to the first installment of Mattel's answers at Kastor's Korner. I thought a little back ground on our friend at Mattel getting our information to us, Toy Guru. Here is a little back ground on him and what he does at Mattel. Kastor- Can…
After getting the newest wave of SHS Spider-Man villains, it's time to expand the display. I know we have a full wave of figures coming out for the regular Marvel line plus a extra large figure, so I have to figure out how to expand…
Well I have been doing a lot of multipart reviews lately so I figured I would try to do this one in one post. This week after feeling being caught up for the most part between online orders and a few hunts, I saw the…
Wal-mart the retail giant has again given us exclusive Marvel Legends. This new wave which is both a mix of old and new characters seems so far easy to find. There are a total of 4 new figures in these 2-packs. The first one is…
Ok so we all know the problems Marvel Legends now suffers as a result of Hasbro getting the license. We have poor paint jobs, cartoon like sculpts and the unnecessary figures like the X3 group, but we are getting a lot of most wanted figures.…
As you know i have decided to use the Enchanted Toy Chest for most of my action figure needs. This decision was not an easy one to make for me. I felt for a long time that it was almost cheating at a game, and…
Well we have reached the end of the last DCSH reviews. The next time I review a DC figure it will be from the new Classics line, and I can’t wait. First up today we have Selina Kyle, Catwoman. This is another female figure which…
Welcome back to our look at the final wave of DC Superheroes. In this review we will look at the other 2 repaints from previous waves. This whole wave may be a filler to get us some new figures and keep the line on the…
This is the last wave of DCSH before the brand changes over to DC Classics line. I’m sure most of us wanted more original characters in this wave but I was not disappointed in any of them. Starting off this look at the figures I…
Well I wanted to wait till I saw another episode of NBC’s new show Journeyman before I made my decision, all I have to say I love this show. It almost seems to pick up right where Quantum Leap ended. When we last saw Dr.…
Welcome back to my look at the newest wave of Marvel Legends Icons. This next figure is a great example of a figure which looks great in person but does not come across well in pictures. Magneto is one figure from the original Marvel Legends…
So with wave 3 of Marvel Legends still not really showing up in CT, when I found wave 4 at a LCS I grabbed them. I guess Toys R Us is selling them for about $23 paying $27 at the comic shop was not a…
Well a few months ago I passed on getting this 12 inch Cyborg Superman while at my sister in-law's house. They have a great comic/toy store in their town of Cranford, New Jersey(Hi Shannon). After knowing the figure was out, but only seeing it at…
Now I'm still catching up but thanks to the guys at AFI I got my Ray SDCC exclusive set. Still can't find a Stargirl, but I still have hope. I also got my hands on these this week. And well they are compared but not…
So here it is, the one figure I never thought I would see, let alone own. This is not a custom but a real figure produced by Hasbro. This man has for decades created what most of us call our heroes. He was the voice…
Well the Four Horsemen have done it again, giving us an amazing figure. The Batman in the pictures is there for size comparison only. The outer boxes are huge and well done for fun time opening this figure. After opening the first box you get…
Well as promised I finally got my hands on Two Face and I have to say he is a great figure. This is proof Mattel makes great figures, just hard to find. This line is something I hope will last a long time. This face…

The easy answer is life, the hard truth is my lack of motivation. Life has been a little hectic and my time here has been frustrating. When this all started ML and DCSH were coming fast and furious and there seemed to be so much…
Locutus is next on the list of great Star Trek figures. This is the exception to my season seven rule. This figure is nicely sculpted and come with a removable hand. The figure is solid and tall which somewhat offsets the figure when compared to…
The good: Great figures and good characters The bad: We did not need these figures in Marvel Legends The Ugly: What more can be said about this face More HML 2 to come
While doing reviews for some of the newest Marvel Legends one thing that really stuck out was the lean that most of the figures had. They all seem to lean to the right and part of the problem is less articulation. Hasbro has lowered the…
The first figure I decided to look at was Lore. This like the rest of the Star Trek figures is amazing in sculpt and likeness to the actor. Lore is a solid yet simple figure with a good paint job on all parts. All the…
Welcome back and sorry for the delay. Today we look at the other TRU exclusive Marvel Legend figure. This Emma Frost is a little better then the HML 1 version. The reason is the facial features are harder to see with the clear plastic. The…

What is going on? That is the question that no one can seem to answer about Mattel's DC Superheroes. The next question that should be asked is “Why not?”. This is not some top secret project from the government, we are talking about toys. Nowadays…
So I finally got my hands on most of the new DCSH wave 5 or 6. Now though most of us are frustrated with the current lack of information from Mattel, these figures are amazing. Though I don't know what to call this wave, but…

I have been a comic book junkie for years but this summer thanks to one of my students I took a chance on Graphic Novels. I started with the Classic Watchmen then moved to LoG and then on to others. The best one that I…

Here are some shots of the boxes. I really do like how all the lines share the same type of packaging. I think this really shows the scope of the line and the ability to mix this line with the other 6 inch lines.
This set has both good and bad and throughout the week I will take a deep look at this new offering from Hasbro
I just a quick post tonight, its a crazy week, please check out and support the NBC show Journeyman . This is a Monday night late show and I think without fan support this show will go the way of the Black Donnellys. This is…
