Best of 2015: Top 5 Import Toys

By jayq - December 29, 2015

hulk-figuarts2015 was full of AMAZING toys from the other side of the globe. Here are the ones that lead the pack!

5. S.H. Figuarts Avengers: Age of Ultron Mark 45 Iron-Man:

Iron-Man has had multiple renderings of his armor, but none stand out more than the Mark 45 (that is, until 2016’s Mark 44 Hulkbuster). Figuarts went all in with this figure as the die-cast parts and paint all combine to form the MUST have Iron-Man figure in anyone’s collection.

4. S.H. Figuarts Injustice Harley Quinn:

Harley set the bar high for the SHF female buck and what you could do with it. Her articulation from literally head to toe was like no other past female figure. Harley had detail on top of detail that made her a favorite. I mean come on– she’s got articulated pony tails!!  Need I say more?

3. S.H. Figuarts Star Wars Episode 1 Darth Maul:

The Star Wars line was a slow starter. Darth Maul was a sleeper that most looked past, but once you got him in hand is was easy to be amazed by the details and poses you could make him recreate. There is nothing bad to say about this figure– you can pose him with the double bladed light saber, or have him dual wield the sabers. Either way this Sith Lord is an amazing piece.

2. S.H. Figuarts Avengers: Age of Ultron Hulk:

Most people were left disappointed with this figure. Not me. I found Hulk to be impressive and welcomed him to my collection. His sculpt, color, and articulation were all I needed. His scale was fantastic as well, as he towers over the other Avengers (as he should).

1. S.H. Figuarts Star Wars Episode 6 Luke Skywalker:

This has been called the definitive Luke Skywalker action figure, and with good reason– Bandai/Tamashii Nation hit the target with this one.  Packed with an alternate head for Luke and the maskless head for the Darth Vader figure as well as swappable hair and hands, you cannot go wrong here.  Luke is a very impressive action figure that deserves this top spot!

There were many items that made 2015 an amazing year to collect imports but these five figures really stood out for me. Looking at the pictures from Comic Con and the Tamashii Nations 2015 Show, it looks like the pedal is still on the floor for 2016.  Let us know what was your favorite import figure of 2015!
