About Kastor’s Korner
Kastor’s Korner was born from a simple idea: toy news and coverage deserved to be faster, more passionate, and more personal. In the early days of the internet, that kind of coverage was hard to find, so in 2006 Khalil launched the first version of Kastor’s Korner on WordPress.com. That original site is still online today—a snapshot of where the journey began.
What started as a website dedicated to new toy releases, reviews, and industry news quickly evolved into something much bigger. As the site grew, opportunities followed. Coverage of Toy Fair opened the door to New York Comic Con, San Diego Comic-Con, and other major industry events. Before long, Kastor’s Korner was covering not only toys, but also comic books, video games, movies, television, and pop culture as a whole.
Along the way, the website became much more than one person’s project. Friends and contributors like Bill, Junior, Jesse, and DJ helped shape Kastor’s Korner into a true community. Together, we’ve interviewed some of the biggest names in entertainment, built lasting relationships throughout the industry, and—most importantly—formed lifelong friendships through a shared love of collecting.
Today, our mission has evolved. Rather than chasing clicks or expanding simply for the sake of growth, Kastor’s Korner is focused on meaningful conversations with the modern collector. We still celebrate the latest toys and collectibles, but we also discuss the realities of the hobby—from the challenges of finding products at retail to the changing landscape of collecting and the experiences that connect us all.
For nearly two decades, one thing has remained constant: our passion. Kastor’s Korner has always been built by collectors, for collectors. Whether you’ve been with us since our first WordPress post or you’re discovering us for the first time, we’re glad you’re here.
Welcome to the Korner.
