Kastor: Many online retailers have had their orders for wave 9 canceled(myself included do not have wave 9 at all). It is causing a lot of concern in the collector community. Why was there such a shortage?
\
Matty: Sorry, we cannot provide specifics on product numbers.
\
Kastor: Many fans are concerned that the all gold Dr. Fate will not see retail. Reason being the blue faced Harley Quinn and variant Red Tornado were canceled. With wave 9 hitting stores, and online retailers having their second wave 8 orders canceled as well, will this figure still be released?
\
Matty: Yes, it will be.
\
Kastor: A new list of possible JLU product has been seen on some message boards, will the line continue at retail in some way after 2009?
\
Matty: At this point we can only discuss product out in 2009.
\
Kastor: Two figures from the Dark Knight for collectors were filler, Sonar Batman and Arkham Scarecrow. Most collectors were planning on passing on those two to begin with and with a price tag around $30 with Toys R Us selling Dark Knight product at buy one get two free, a head swap and a little paint would make these two figures unneeded by many collectors. Will sales on these 2 specifically hurt the chances for future figures?
\
Matty: All of the announced Dark Knight figures will be available on Mattycollector.com, with one new figure each month starting in October.
\
Kastor: Can parts like bucks, weapons, or animals be used between lines and properties( a DCUC part be used by the MOTU line)?
\
Matty: There is not set rule, but for the most part we will not be sharing parts between lines. (MOTU Zoar being used for the Wonder Twins is an acceptation).
