Border Guards Could Be A Comedy Worth Paying Attention To

By bill - April 16, 2014

So much awesome might be happening with this movie.

There’s a new comedy in development called Border Guards, and if the report from Deadline is true, this will be the reunion of Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly and director Adam McKay.  The Step Brothers team getting back together for a new movie would be exciting enough, but Border Guards will also be written by the extremely funny Jesse Armstrong, who has written the screenplays to amazing movies like In The Loop and Four Lions.  If you haven’t heard of them, do yourself a favor and check them out right away.

Here’s the quick version of what to expect from the new movie:

Two hapless but earnest friends who decide to give purpose to their lives by protecting America’s borders from illegal immigrants. In the process they find themselves accidentally stranded in Mexico without identification and must sneak back into the U.S.

Armstrong is apparently the only one confirmed attached to the project, but he seems like a great addition to the Ferrell-Reilly-McKay wheelhouse.  This movie could be pretty damn awesome!
