The Guardian of the Galaxy may battle dinosaurs when he’s not goofing off in Pawnee.
I’ve never met Chris Pratt, I don’t know him at all. But his screen presence is so charming, so likeable, and so charismatic, I feel like he’s my buddy, so when I see his name attached to big time, high profile projects, I get excited for him. I can’t explain it, he’s just got that air of a genuinely cool dude about him.
Apparently I’m not alone in my sentiment, because Pratt is now being considered for another big-time summer tentpole a year after he heads The Guardians of the Galaxy for Marvel… Pratt may be the star of Jurassic World, the upcoming fourth movie in the Jurassic Park series.
While Guardians will no doubt offer Pratt some ability for his excellent brand of comedy on screen, the Jurassic role may be much more serious… the previous contender for the role was Josh Brolin, who I can’t imagine has spent any time bumbling around goofily since The Goonies. There’s no official word on Pratt’s casting, but I’d imagine we’ll hear something more about the full cast soon– this sucker has a Summer 2015 release date, so director Colin Trevorrow has only about a year and a half to get Jurassic World into theaters, so he’s gonna have to hustle.
