Comic Con 2013: On The Floor With Sideshow Collectibles

Sideshow SDCC 13 Kastor's KornerSideshow Collectibles may not have had any exclusives at this year’s Comic Con, but the new items they showcased were incredibly impressive.

Sideshow Collectibles had lots of fantastic new items on display at their SDCC booth, from new GI Joe figures to the incredible Hot Toys Avengers and the all new Batman 66.  When it comes to high end 12″ figures, Sideshow and Hot Toys have the market cornered, and they’re not slowing down anytime soon.

The booth at Comic Con showed off the stunning new Baroness figure from Sideshow’s GI Joe collection, along with the upcoming Cobra Commander and Destro figures, and the reveal of ’88 style Storm Shadow, complete with his grey camo gi, hood and crossbow.

The Hot Toys Avengers are incredibly tempting, despite their steep price tag– the Hulk figure adds dramatically to the overall collection, and they look amazing. Equally impressive was the growing Hall of Armor in the Iron-Man 3 series, which feature some of the great designs Tony controls in the third movie.

Hot Toys will also be releasing a Batman 66 series, featuring Batman and Robin, with uncanny likenesses of Adam West and Burt Ward, as well as an in scale Batmobile.  Also on display were the comic based DC Hot Toys figures, which will see very nice takes on Bat-villains such as The Joker and Harley Quinn.

The whole display was very impressive, and– at least for collectors with wallets deep enough– there’s lots of great 1:6 scale figures on the horizon.  Check out photos from Sideshow’s booth below:
