See (almost) the whole “Task Force X” team as they will appear in the Suicide Squad movie.
David Ayer released a new image on Twitter this weekend, showing off his cast from Suicide Squad in costume. The phto was captioned “Task Force X” which I guess will be the team’s name in the movie, and gives us our first look at Jai Courtney’s Captain Boomerang, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje‘s Killer Croc, Will Smith’s Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman’s Rick Flagg, and Margot Robbie as what’s supposed to be Harley Quinn.
The photo is exactly what I expected from this production, honestly. Lots of black nylon, lots of body armor, and a ton of guns. Yes, there’s a few things that stand out– the delightfully cartoony Croc design, for starters– but overall nothing here really sways me either for or against the movie (which, for the record, I’m rooting for).
They’re clearly aping the Arkham games’ look, especially for Harley and Deadshot. I guess that’s to be expected, but it looks like they opted against the red and black coloring on Harley’s punky outfit here, removing the one connection her video game appearance shared with her most iconic look.

Ayer also shared a solo pic of Deadshot, with his mask on. It looks pretty cool, as I imagine it will for the 45 seconds Will Smith will agree to cover his beautiful face during the movie.
