DC Comics FINALLY Delivers Forever Evil #7

By jayq - May 21, 2014

forever-evil-7DC Comics readers have been frustrated with the delay on Forever Evil #7 (myself included) and you know what…it was TOTALLY worth the wait! I said in a past review of the first few issues that this was going to be one of the GREATEST stories ever told and I think I was right!

David Finch’s art is fantastic and his splash pages are awe inspiring. Geoff Johns is a magician that told a brilliant story about life without heroes and how the universe would be if the villains ran the show. Through seven issues, we were held on the edge of our seats trying to figure out how the unstoppable villains were going to be stopped… we witnessed an unlikely alliance between Batman, Lex Luthor, Catwoman, Black Manta, Bizarro, Captain Cold, Sinestro, and Black Adam, banding together to save the day. They all had to sacrifice things to get it done, and the fate of Dick Grayson (Nightwing) was shown in this latest issue, thus putting to bed all the speculation around him, and setting the course for his future book.

Lex Luthor, for all intents and purposes, is the “anti-hero” of this story arc and you will see why in issue seven. The twist that will have everyone talking is told in a splash page that has Luthor looking at a computer screen, with the life of one of our favorite heroes on the screen, having witnessed an embrace between family which put together DC Comics’ “greatest mystery.”

Forever Evil #7 was well worth the wait and I implore you to RUN to your local comic shop and grab it today, so you are not left out of what will probably be the a HOT HOT HOT topic this week.  Forever Evil gets a 9.5/10 in my book.
