Diamond Select Toys Releases Some New Marvel Select

Over the past month or so Diamond has released a new Captain America, Spider-man, and now Falcon and Savage Hulk. Anyone else having a hard time resisting all theses figures?

While we don’t have these in hand yet, Diamond Select sent over some info and photos on their newest releases in their Marvel Select line. First up is the Captain America 2 Flacon

By now, collectors have picked up the Marvel Select action figure of Captain America, as he appears in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and hopefully they’re as happy with him as we are! Well, get ready, because Cap is about to get the ultimate wingman! It’s New Toy Day, and Diamond Select’s Marvel Select Movie Falcon figure hits comic shops and specialty stores this week, just in time for the Fourth of July!

Standing approximately 7.5 inches tall, Sam “The Falcon” Wilson features 16 points of articulation and a solid likeness of actor Anthony Mackie from the film. He also comes with a removable pair of wings, which slot into his backpack for flight mode, and a display base styled after the SHIELD helicarriers that appear in the movie. All of it comes packaged in the famous Select-style packaging, suitable for wall display or shelf storage, with character art on the side panel.

And the other release was a little bit of a surprise, the Savage Hulk. Even though there have been many Hulk figures there is just something about the first appearance designs that get the collector in me.

Since he was first introduced in 1962, the Incredible Hulk’s fame has grown by leaps and bounds. From the pages of his Marvel comic book, to the live-action TV series that made him a household name, to his defining role in Marvel’s The Avengers, the Hulk has grown from misunderstood monster to Hollywood hero. And now Diamond Select Toys has teamed up with marvelshop.com to grant fans early access to an exclusive Hulk action figure!

Starting on June 23rd, marvelshop.com will be the only place to order the Marvel Select Savage Hulk action figure, featuring an exclusive sculpt of the gamma-irradiated Avenger. The Savage Hulk figure wears a tattered outfit that harkens back to his origins, when nuclear scientist Dr. Bruce Banner was caught in an atomic blast and first transformed from a man into a monster.

Sculpted by Gabriel Marquez, who has previously sculpted figures of Hulk, Thor and Magneto for the Marvel Select line, this completely new figure stands approximately 9 3/4″ inches tall with 14 points of articulation. He will come packaged in the oversized Select-style blister card, perfect for in-package display, and with reference artwork on the spine for shelf storage.

After July 7, the Marvel Select Savage Hulk figure will be made available on disneystore.com, and will begin to make its way to Disney Store shelves in the U.S. and Canada.
