Eastman & Laird Returning To Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

By bill - February 25, 2014

tmnt-mirageThe TMNT creators are getting back together for the first time in two decades.

It’s the 30th anniversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this year, and yes, while not everything on the half shell looks very exciting this year (cough:  new movie:: cough), this is pretty cool– Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the original creators of TMNT– are reuniting in the TMNT 30th Anniversary special, coming from IDW.

This collaboration marks the first time both creators have worked together on a project starring their most famous characters in over 20 years, and they’ll be joined by a litany of other writers and artists from throughout the Turtles’ history.

So next time you see some ugly, cluttered TMNT movie character designs, or hear Michael Bay say something stupid about his “vision” for the heroes, just remember– it’s happening in the same year that the Turtle’s creators are back together, making something truly special for TMNT fans everywhere.
