First Look at One of Pacific Rim’s Massive Jaegers

There’s not many things going down at Comic Con I am more excited for than Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim, and it’s been cranked up to eleven with this awesome new teaser poster!

Guillermo del Toro’s latest film is hitting next Summer, and it’s being described as his tribute to giant robots fighting giant monsters, in the grand Kaiju tradition. And he obviously wasn’t kidding with the word giant– this teaser poster features our first look at one of the monster-fighting Jaegers, with it’s two pilots perched on the shoulder to give a sense of scale.

Since we’ve got a year before Pacific Rim hits theaters, it’s iffy whether or not Comic Con will debut any actual footage, but the Hall H presentation on Saturday is guaranteed to kick ass either way because A.) Guillermo del Toro is not only awesome, but one of the most entertaining speakers ever, and B.) it’s a giant monster vs. giant robot movie.

Am I the only one hoping that some brave and awesome company like NECA announces the toy rights for this movie at Comic Con as well? I need a plastic version of that robot on my shelf like now!
