The Flash is Ready to Run

The CW officially picks up the Flash for the the fall 2014 TV Season.

The Flash will join Arrow this fall, expanding the DC universe on the CW. The show will focus on Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) who was given powers during the second season of Arrow. Throughout the season fans have been given updates on the character, mostly through Felicity, who has been in a coma since the accident.

Here is the description of the show from the CW:

Barry Allen is a Central City assistant police forensics investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. A comic book fanboy, Barry is obsessed with the Arrow unaware that working with Oliver and Felicity to solve the crime has brought him right into the dangerous world of the vigilante.

Many fans are hoping for a red blur or some cameo during the upcoming season finale of Arrow this Wednesday, but they may have to wait until the fall for any kind of look at the Scarlet Speedster.
