Ghost Rider Agents of Shield Kastors KornerThis weekend Entertainment Weekly gave a first look at the new Ghost Rider on ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

At SDCC this year the minds behind Agents of SHIELD let us know that the all new Ghost Rider was coming to season four of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Though connections to the classic Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze, are part of the new Ghost Rider’s story there is no word if the he will show up. This new Ghost Rider, Robbie Reyes, has connections to Los Angles, where the team has been working out of on and off over the past 3 seasons.

Reyes became Ghost Rider after he was killed in a street race trying to get money to help his disabled brother get out of a gang control neighborhood. Reyes is not the only one controlling the Rider, his serial killer uncle is inside his head, feeding off the kills Reyes commits as the Rider. It is almost like Marvel decided to combine DC’s Firestorm and Dexter. How deep into the Rider mythology the character will go is unknown, but it will hopefully help the public forget the train wreak that Nick Cage left behind.
