Hannibal Season 2 Trailer Is Intense

And intensely creepy.  And intensely awesome!!

I loved the first season of Hannibal, and after lots of nail-biting suspense over the fate of the show’s future, we’re now just about a month away from the start of season two!  And to get prepped for the new batch of episodes from Bryan Fuller’s stylized, etherial psychological horror, NBC has released a new trailer.

What we get here is the perfect reminder (or indicator, for new viewers) of what this show is all about.  There’s lots of beautiful, horrific images, constant mind games between virtually the entire cast, and of course Mads Mikkelsen killing it (literally) as Hannibal Lecter.

Season One ended with Will Graham being institutionalized, framed for the terrible murders Lecter himself committed.  I love that it also closed out with Will just starting to understand the truth– now, the tables are basically turned, with the incarcerated FBI profiler putting it all together, while Lecter assumes Will’s old job cozying up to the Feds unwittingly chasing him.  I’m sure it’s going to remain just as twisty and trippy as ever.

In a perfect world, I would love to review the show week by week, but I seem particularly horrible at keeping up with TV reviews.  I will say, whether you see a large Hannibal presence of our site or not, you should totally check it out when it returns on February 28th.
