Matty Collector Reveals First 2013 Comic Con Exclusives

Get your geek engines revving, because the Comic Con reveals are starting up!

Mattel has been on a roll this year, with a considerable step up in their game when it comes to quality, character selection and more, so I guess it shouldn’t come as a big surprise that their SDCC exclusives would follow suit!  The toymakers will apparently be offering at least TEN (!!) exclusives at Comic Con this July, and they will be revealing two of them each day this week.

And right out of the gate, they knocked my damn socks off, with the Masters of the Universe exclusive– a two-pack featuring Comet Warriors, Rokkon and Stonedar.  These guys look great, and include removable stone pieces so they can be displayed in regular figure form, in transformed rock form, or halfway between, to replicate their vintage toy looks.

I was equally surprised by the reveal of the Battlestar Galactica Cylon Raider Hot Wheels exclusive.  It looks neat, and I’m sure fans of the classic TV series will eat this one up, but the first thing I thought was “oh, man– imagine if Mattel lands the license to the modern series, too??”  Here’s hoping…

Masters of the Universe® Classics Rokkon™ & Stonedar™ 2-Pack

The Comet Warriors have arrived! This 2-pack of vintage MOTU Rockmen figures includes the young and excitable Rokkon™ and the wise and heroic Stonedar™.
