On the opening day New York Comic Con, DC Comics and the U.S. Postal Service kicked it off with a huge bang by dedicating a set of stamps to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Batman.
The ceremony was hosted by comic book writer, actor and radio personality Ralph Garman. Speakers included Jim Lee, Dan Didio, and U.S. Postal Service Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President James Cochrane.
The eight commemorative Batman designs were revealed depicting Batman from the four distinct eras of comic book history to include the various incarnations of the famed Bat emblem.
