By staff-writers - June 17, 2015

Daredevil and The Valiant artist Paolo Rivera will be the headliner for Hero Initiative at the Wizard World Sacramento convention June 19-21 at the Sacramento Convention Center in Sacramento, Ca.

Hero Initiative is the charity that helps comic book creators in medical or financial need, and Rivera has been a longtime supporter of the organization.

Rivera will appear exclusively at the Hero Initiative booth Saturday and Sunday, where he will be signing copies of the Walking Dead #1 Sacramento con exclusive. And Hero will have additional copies for sale as well. Both the regular cover and black-and-white sketch cover will be available for $10 each, or $15 for the pair.

About The Hero Initiative

The Hero Initiative is the first-ever federally chartered not-for-profit corporation dedicated strictly to helping comic book creators in need. Hero Initiative creates a financial safety net for yesterday’s creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work. It’s a chance for all of us to give back something to the people who have given us so much enjoyment.

Since its inception, The Hero Initiative has had the good fortune to grant over $700,000 to the comics’ veterans who have paved the way for those in the industry today. For more information, or call 626-676-6354.
