Pop Funko’s Iron Throne is Nothing Short AWESOME!

We all saw the teasers that Funko gave us pre-New York Comic Con of their exclusives. The moment I saw the Iron Throne Pop! I knew it was a must have. 

I was sad to hear that Funko’s Iron Throne Pop! was only going to be at NYCC and I figured that I would never get my hands on one. However, Hot Topic (who has always had a GREAT distributing relationship with Funko) came through in the clutch and offered these for sale.

I did have to fight some crowds to get it, but the effort definitely beats paying the secondary market at the moment.  That said, this is a MUST own piece if you are a Pop! collector. The Iron Throne is a deluxe item and is about 6″ tall, big enough for the Pop! Funko figures to stand on it (since they cannot sit). The attention to detail is uncanny for this plastic masterpiece– there are bends in the swords, great painting on the hilts, and shading used to give this item life… it’s all very well done.

I fun with the throne with my import figures, using various ones to create cool scenarios. Adding the Tamashii Nations Red Flame Effects to this piece really made this item even more amazing!  My young daughters are big Pop! Funko collectors and unfortunately do not have any Game of Thrones figures, but it would seem Queen Elsa likes the Iron Throne just as well as any Stag, Dragon, Wolf, or Flayed Man would.

Retail for this deluxe piece was $20 but secondary market has them up to $40. JQ gives the Iron Throne Pop from Funko a 9.5/10.
