SDCC 2015: Hasbro Preview Night

By kastor417 - July 9, 2015

Hasbro SDCC 2016 Kastor's Korner featThis year at Comic Con, Hasbro’s booth had a new look. The only issue is most the panels are later in the week so new things were in short supply.

Preview night is great for fans, but for us covering the show we know it is just a taste of things to come. The Hasbro booth was filled with mostly already revealed figures, with a few nice additions to various lines.

Transformers had the case with the most new figures, though most of them had been revealed at Botcon. GI Joe was the smallest showing, but as I exited the booth for the night the brand managers were singing the praises of the classic army toys, saying they are not around as much but not forgotten. More will be coming in the future.

Even though Joe had a small showing Star Wars was almost nonexistent for new figures. The panel is in the next day or so, so hopefully there will be more to see, most of which will probably be related to Episode VII. Marvel looked amazing, but after Toy Fair wowing collectors the biggest reveal of the night was all the new Marvel Infinite Series figures, a line many were counting out for 2015/ 2016.

The change in booth configuration was a nice touch, and over the next few days it should be great to see what else Hasbro has in store for fans of all the lines.
