The New Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Is Here

Watch the incredible final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

I’m gonna keep this short and sweet.  The new trailer for Star Wars Episode VII hit last night, and it is pretty spectacular.  The first half spotlights our three new main characters– Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren– each delivering one intriguing and probably character-defining line of narration.  After that, things get totally bonkers– Kylo tortures Poe Dameron, and prowls around with the other Knights of Ren… Han Solo and Princess Leia share a tearful embrace… the Millenium Falcon bounds into an amazing dogfight between legions of Tie Fighters and X-Wings… There is just so much to love here.

I’m confident you’ve probably watched the trailer by now. I’m getting close to ten views since last night, myself, and the energy in this clip is really palpable.  The ghosts of Star Wars past are still reminding me that maybe The Force Awakens, as a movie, won’t live up to the potential of this fantastic trailer, and while that may be true, there is no denying this two and a half minutes is damn near perfect.  I want so bad for this movie to be amazing.
