NECA pays tribute to the first season of the Starz original TV show with a trio of great action figures.

Like a bloodthirsty demon from the depths of the Necronomicon, the second season of Ash vs Evil Dead has been unleashed on Starz, and the cast of the series offered plenty of insights and previews at New York Comic Con.

Bruce Campbell, Sam Raimi and the cast of Starz’s Ash vs Evil Dead surprised New York Comic Con with a screening of the premiere episode.  And yes, it’s groovy.

Ashley J Williams has faced the Army of the Dead, a bad version of himself, and even the very incarnation of evil itself, but how will he fare when he comes face to face with his greatest challenge yet? His own fans.

The buzzed-about remake scored its NC-17, and has opted to re-cut to an R.  That may seem disappointing for gorehounds like me, but this does not shake my trust in the folks behind this movie.

Evil Dead continues to sell the high concept idea that remakes do NOT have to suck.

Everyone knows remakes can be a bad idea, but the creators of the new Evil Dead believe they have side-stepped the pitfalls of lousy reboots, to come up with a new story worth telling.
