Today on the Toy of the Day we are taking it back to the 80s with our Collector Beginnings series looking at Voltron!

Bandai Japan brings action figure collecting to another dimension, and Bluefin is their direct conduit to us. While I would love to talk about everything offered, there are particular pieces worth elaborating on.

For Year Two of their Voltron collection, Playmates looks to the past with a great 80s inspired combiner.

Fans of the classic 80’s Voltron won’t have to wait much long. Playmates Toys is proud to announce that the classic set of lions is on the way to toy shelves in early 2018!

Playmates Toys is ready for the new season of Voltron on Netflix with figures based on the Paladins, and a throwback style of metal lions.

Voltron Legendary Defender was the surprise hit of the toy aisles this winter, selling out as fast as the stores could fill the shelves, and Playmates assures us there is no end in sight. 

Toy Fair kicked off a little early with Universal Studios. All the partner companies got together to show off just a fraction of what we will see at the show this weekend, from Minions to Fast and Furious we got pictures of some fun toys and products for 2017!

One of the biggest childhood memories was watching Voltron, and although there have been reboots in the past this one is faithful to original and just feels right.

There is a new project on LEGO Ideas that kids of the 80’s will fight to have made. Voltron could be one of the sets made, but can it get into production?

The heroes on the half shell have returned from Dimension X, just in time for a new year’s worth of TMNT toys on display at Playmates’ Toy Fair showcase.
