The RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan is making his directorial debut with The Man With The Iron Fists, which looks like the ultimate tribute to chop-sockey Kung-Fu, Anime and Martial Arts movies. It also looks completely crazy!
RZA is certainly not going small with his first feature film. The new movie is presented by Quentin Tarantino, and co-written by Hostel’s Eli Roth, and co-stars the likes of Lucy Liu and Russell Crowe. From the first trailer, it’s obvious there’s going to be plenty of gorgeously-crafted mayhem and carnage on display, CGI blood spraying quite liberally, and a style that’s somewhere between a Shaw Brothers flick and the most violent video game you’ve ever played.
The RZA and his Wu-Tang cohorts have been vocal long-time fans of Kung-Fu, and one look at RZA’s film career– including roles in Ghost Dog, Afro Samurai and the upcoming GI Joe Retaliation— proves he’s pretty serious when it comes to martial arts movie mayhem.
