Toy Fair 2020: Marvel Legends

So I hear people don’t like to be broke, but if you are a Marvel Legends collector all this news will make you happy and broke. Toy Fair was full of new things and surprises.New waves were revealed, new characters,  and even new forms of articulation. There’s a lot of mystery in the air as far as how the X-Men comic figures are going to be released so that will be revealed at a later date. There’s a new rider in town,  Punisher in an old-school 1970s look with a very very nice bike.

What was somewhat disappointing was the announcement that we’re only going to get one Age of Apocalypse line in 2020. The team was also certainly behind getting us more, because the collection does not feel finished. At least we are getting the big bad in the form of a deluxe figure.

They are also updating the articulation with hidden joints. It was exciting for some people but those people that like to customize it’s going to really be a thorn in their side. The new joints will not have pins which means disassembling a figure or fixing something could be a lot more difficult in the future. It will give us a more seamless looking action figure as well as possibly strengthens joints.

We also got a look at the new Spiderman wave, which will be a retro carded wave. The first 3 were revealed as a new Spiderman, Peter Parker, and Gwen Stacy. This leads us to believe that the rest of the way it will be villain based. I personally want to finally get classic Electro and maybe, hopefully, an animated Chamaeleon. As always I made my yearly or multiple yearly requests for Firestar, I keep being told she’s on the list but she wasn’t shown, yet!
