Every show needs a villain, and Agent Coulson creates his first on this week’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The show opens with a heist, but it is not something but some one being stolen. A S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist, Franklin Hall, was being transported when he was kidnapped by Ian Quinn. Quinn is a world traveler who is more interested in inventing new things and making money than laws. Hall and Quinn used to work together , and with a new discovery Quinn needs some help. It appears that Quinn has discovered Gravitonium a rare element that can control the force of gravity.
Coulson and his team are on the mission to retrieve Hall without causing an international incident. None of the official team can enter Quinn’s compound, so Skye volunteers to go in undercover. Skye opens up to Ward about her past during some quick training, before she is sent into the field. Skye gets in and gains access to the compound allowing Coulson and Ward to sneak in and get to Hall.
When they finally find the scientist they realize it was Hall himself who left Quinn clues to find him. Hall knew that if gravitonium was left in Quinn’s hands it could be as bad as the Tesseract. Hall’s plan to use the Gravitonium to burry Quinn and the whole compound. Coulson is left with a hard choice take out Hall or let him carry out his plan. In the end Coulson send Hall into the center of Gravitonium stopping the chemical reaction and stopping his team from being killed along with Quinn.
