Finally the Marvel world is brought into the show, making this week’s Agent Carter more exciting to watch.
The period piece worked during Captain America, but the slower pace of the movies and shows of that time are hurting the show. It took four shows to feel like there is a real connection to the Marvel world other than the name, but it finally happened.
Stark returns to the country to get Carter to steal back one of his inventions from the SSR. He tells her it is something the SSR can never open in, if they do they could kill a whole lot of people. Carter though knows she is being played and finds that it is not a device, but rather a sample of Captain America’s blood. With Cap down in a block of ice, the only proof that he existed is in that vial. It is also the only hope they have to recreating the experiment. Looking at it you have to wonder if that is the same sample from the Hulk, which created the Abomination.
Meanwhile Dooley headed to Europe to track down a lead on the spies running around the city. He is able to get some info, but just enough to make him realized the SSR are in much deeper than he could have ever imagined.
Carter confronts Stark about the vial only to find out how much he is hiding from her. She keeps it from him hiding in her apartment walls. And outside her one room place another female spy showed herself, by killing one of the foreign agents.
Action, mystery, and a connection to the future… this could be getting good finally.
