New York Toy Fair 2019: Hasbro – NERF X Fortnite

Introducing the best property-to-product collaboration at Toy Fair 2019.

Like I mentioned in my Overwatch coverage, one of the main goals for Hasbro in 2019 seems to be find new inroads to reach kids, in addition to adult collectors. They launched a few exciting new brands which promise to bridge this gap, but none that seem more promising than the NERF X Fortnite collection.

Fortnite is a cultural phenomenon among kids right now, and it’s open world, adventure/ combat/ shoot em up nature would lend itself perfectly to play action in toy form… and there’s no toy franchise out there better than NERF to bring the wild weaponry from Fortnite to life.

The Spring 2019 line will feature a range of the game’s greatest guns, from the SP-L to the AR-L, along with Microshots mini guns themed to various game skins. If that weren’t enough, there will also be a line of Super Soakers, including the HC-E, TS-R, and RL, which add bright, fun colors to game accurate gun designs.

I’m calling my shot right now, kids will be going NUTS for these NERF guns when they make their debut this Spring. If you want to get in on the action now, most NERF X Fortnite toys are up for preorder now on Hasbro Pulse, as well as Amazon, Walmart, and Target.
